Donald F. Blair, age 82, died Sunday March 1, 2015, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL.
Don was born on March 30, 1932 in Chicago, IL, the son of Fred and Susan (Mack) Blair. He married Carole Miller on June 4, 1960, in Maywood, IL. Don was employed in Customer Relations with Northern Illinois Gas Company for 37 years retiring in 1988. He served his Country in the Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan (Nick) Villa of Annawan, IL; one son, Thomas Blair of Sterling, IL; four sisters, Neeva Robinson of Burbank, WA, Virginia Wilkozek of Wheaton, IL, Patricia Blair and Pamela Blair both of Madison, WI; one brother, Robert (Carol) Blair of Glen Ellyn, IL; four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife.
Gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, March 5, 2015, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Morrison, IL.
A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2015, with Reverend Gary Lawler officiating.
Military honors will follow outside the church.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
