Donald C. Rauser, 94, of The Lindens at Luther Park, Des Moines, IA, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines.
Don was born December 20, 1919, in Salem Township, Carroll County, IL, to Louis F. and Laura (Queckboerner) Rauser. He was educated in the Chadwick grade schools. He married Eloise I. Remmers at First Evangelical Lutheran Church parsonage in Chadwick on December 19, 1945. Don served in the Army Air Corp in England during WWII. He was the Maintenance Supervisor at GE Company in Morrison, IL, for over 30 years. Don was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison.
Survivors include his wife, Eloise; one daughter, Kathy (Glenn) Vogel of Ithaca, NY; two sons, Larry (Diane) Rauser of Ankeny, IA, and Kent (Lori) Rauser of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandchildren, Daniel (Danielle) Rauser and Daryl (Alissa) Rauser; five great-grandchildren, Dylan, Tyson, Tegan, Dredan, and Braxton.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Rauser.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2014, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL
OFFICIATING: Pastor Bob Burton
VISITATION: 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service, Monday, January 27, 2014, at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL
