Diane Workman, 68, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, January 22, 2017, at Resthave Home in Morrison.
Diane was born October 22, 1948, in Morrison, to Elmer and Tena (Tichler) Balk. She was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She then attended Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL. Diane married James D. Workman on January 26, 1968, in Morrison. She was first employed by General Electric in Morrison and later drove a school bus for R. C. Smith Transportation. Diane worked alongside her husband, Jim, at Workman Plumbing, Heating, and Cooling in Morrison. She was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, where she sang in the choir, and was a member of the Ladies Aid Society. Diane was an avid bowler and golfer. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Jim. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and attending all of their events.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; two sons, Jeff (Michele) Workman of Morrison and Michael Workman of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandchildren, Jaeden and Chase Workman; one sister, LaVonne (Mark) Dykema of Morrison; one brother, Kevin (Sheila) Balk of Mobile, AL; her mother-in-law, Lorraine Workman of Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister in infancy, Donna Sue Balk.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Ebenezer Reformed Church, Morrison, IL
CO-OFFICIATING: Rev. Gerald H. Norman, Pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church and Ken Renkes
VISITATION: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 25, 2017, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL
