Morrison United Methodist Church has designed a community event at “the best place to be this Valentine’s Day,” Thursday, February 14, 2013. The Heritage Hall, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, will offer a “Dessert Fantasia” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Three activities will make this an evening of sweets and love. The cost is $10 per person, with funds used to support the church’s missions.
Childcare will be provided for couples with youngsters.
- Between 6:30 and 7:00, dip fresh fruit and other edibles into the streaming chocolate fountain while conversing with others.
- From 7:00 to about 7:30, enjoy a concert of love songs performed by The Heritage Trio in the sanctuary. This popular, talented ensemble includes Diane Holtz on keyboard, Aaron Johnson on bass, and vocalist Jacinda Voss. They have an extensive playlist and might take a request.
- The sweetness continues for the last hour in the Heritage Hall, where guests will find ten to 12 beautifully decorated tables using a variety of themes. Each elegant table for eight will include a hostess who designed the decor. Find your name card at your place.
The tables will offer two plates of assorted scrumptious desserts to sample. Morrison High School girls will serve a choice of beverages: coffee, punch, or tea.
