Derek Hobbick of Metamora, IL, has been named Student of the Month at Morrison Institute of Technology, 701 Portland Avenue, Morrison, IL, for making a positive impact on the college.
A first-year student at Morrison Tech, Hobbick has been a Student Ambassador and is involved in the Student Government organization. He has also helped a group from the college unload a food truck at the Morrison Food Pantry.
His nominator said, “Derek Hobbick has been helpful with our recruitment efforts, as an ambassador on campus as well as accompanying me back to his home high school of Metamora. Derek stayed the entire day at the high school, telling the students about the benefits of a Morrison Tech education.”
