Morrison Community Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees and Administration hosted a community Open House, on Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The hospital location is 303 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL.
They provided details about the hospital’s upcoming major expansion. Tours and detailed drawings showcases existing Departments and proposed changes. To “see” what the new Emergency Department will look like, special virtual reality glasses were supplied.

CEO Pfister stated, “Two hundred to 300 [people] usually attend these [Open House events]. I feel the community is very supportive of what this [massive expansion] means to Morrison. There will not be any tax increase or grant requests involved. Our [financial projections showed] current payers and volume was enough to sustain this addition.”
“Bids will be let in March 2019, and we will break ground in May.” Pfister added she has a strong intent to use local contractors and suppliers whenever possible.
