December 28 Morrison Police Report

Morrison Chief of Police Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Monday, December 28, 2020.

Arrests:  On Thursday, December 31, 2020, at approximately 11:39 p.m., Morrison Police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Thomas E. Ulve, age 42 of Rock Falls, IL, in the area of E. Wall Street and S. Cherry Street, Morrison, IL, for moving violations.  Ulve then attempted to elude the Morrison Police, southbound on Crosby Road (IL Route 78), westbound on Rock Road, and then onto Smit Road.  Ulve’s vehicle then slid off the roadway and became stuck in a field.  With the assistance of the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office’s K-9 Unit, Erie Police, and the Illinois State Police, Ulve was apprehended in that field off of Smit Road.  Morrison Police arrested and charged Ulve with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (Class 2 Felony); Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine-Class 4 Felony); Aggravated Fleeing/Eluding a Peace Officer (Class 4 Felony); Driving While License Suspended; Reckless Driving; Operating Uninsured Vehicle; Speeding; Operating Vehicle Without Evidence of Registration; Disobeying a Traffic Control Device; Improper Overtaking on Left (Same Direction.  Ulve also had outstanding warrants from Whiteside County, Lee County, and the State of Wisconsin.  Ulve was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
