Morrison Police Chief Brian Melton reports the following Arrests made and Citations issued since Friday, December 22, 2017.
Arrests: On Sunday, December 24, 2017, at approximately 2:00 p.m., Morrison Police met with a female juvenile, age 17 of Morrison, IL, regarding a domestic dispute that occurred on Friday, December 22, at 502 W. Park Street, Morrison. On Thursday, December 28, as a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested John A. Burleson, age 46 of Morrison, charging Burleson with Domestic Battery. Burleson was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Thursday, December 29, 2017, at approximately 12:01 a.m., Morrison Police responded to the Market Street Municipal Parking Lot to assist a Whiteside County Deputy Sheriff with a suspicious vehicle . As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested Michael D. McCartney, age 44 of Morrison, IL, charging McCartney with Consumption of Alcohol (Public Place) and Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol. McCartney was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released with a Notice to Appear for Thursday, February 1, 2018.
On Monday, January 1, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Morrison Police responded to 404 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, regarding a possible domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested Nelson T. Grismore, age 32 of Morrison, charging Grismore with Domestic Battery. Grismore was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
