This arrest is merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
On 12-19-18 at 7:43 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a two-vehicle collision in the area of U. S. Route 30 and Matznick Road. Upon arrival, Deputies determined a passenger car, driven by Darius R. Morgan, age 45 of Sterling, IL, was being driven eastbound on U. S. Route 30. Morgan’s vehicle drifted across the center line and struck a westbound truck tractor semi-trailer. Morgan was ultimately flown from the scene to Mercy Hospital in Rockford, IL, by MedForce Air Medical, to be treated for his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
