The following Arrests were made and Citations issued since Friday, December 17, 2021.
Arrests: On Friday, December 24, 2021, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Morrison Police received a complaint of a possible Violation of an Order of Protection at 407 W. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL. The suspect may have gone to another residence at 206 W. Knox Street. As Morrison Police were attempting to locate the suspect, they observed the suspect traveling northbound on North Base Street and then eastbound on High Street. As Morrison Police were attempting to catch up to and stop the suspect, he continued eastbound on High Street where he eventually was involved in a motor vehicle crash on High Street at Meadow Lane. The suspect then fled from the scene. As a result of this incident, Morrison Police arrested and charged, Joseph A. Kuehl, age 36 of Morrison, with Disobeying Traffic Control Device, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident, and Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. Kuehl was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and then released on a Notice to Appear for January 27, 2022. This incident remains under investigation. Morrison Police were assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, Illinois State Police, and the Morrison Fire Department.
