!2-14-15 at 7:57 p.m. Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at McCue Road, south of Science Ridge Road in rural Sterling, IL. Upon investigation, a 2003 Ford F250, being driven by Daniel M. Miller, 28 of Sterling, was traveling south on McCue Road, when Miller crossed the center line, ultimately striking a second vehicle. The second vehicle was a 2012 Toyota Sienna van, driven by Jennifer L. (Armstrong) Banks, 39 of Sterling. As a result of the crash, Miller was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on scene by the Whiteside County Coroner. Banks was transported by ambulance to CGH Medical Center for treatment. Two female juveniles who were passengers in Banks’s vehicle were treated and released on scene by EMS.
The accident remains under investigation.
