December 10 Sheriff’s Office Report

Charges listed below are accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

12/09/14 11:03 p.m.  Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies arrested Benjamin Gary Sandrock, 38, of Lyndon, IL, on Prophet and Bottom Roads for D.U.I. – Alcohol, Leaving Scene of Property Damage Crash, and Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid a Crash. Sandrock was released with a Notice to Appear.

12-06-14 at 4:20 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Prophetstown, IL, area for a registration violation.  Upon further investigation, Michael S. King, age 23 of Lyndon, IL, was arrested for Possession of Cannabis under 2.5 grams, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Expired Illinois Registration Sticker.  King was released on scene with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  R&K Towing assisted on scene.
 
12-06-14 at 3:30 p.m.  Tiffany A. Kochevar, age 27 of Prophetstown, IL, was stopped in Prophetstown for expired registration.  She was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and bonded on scene, with a written warning for the registration violation.
 
12-06-14 at 3:20 p.m.  Clayton M. Thompson, age 29 of Prophetstown, IL, was stopped in Prophetstown for no front registration plate and arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He was bonded on scene and released with a written warning for the registration violation.
 
12-06-14 at 2:20 p.m.  At Grove and Lincoln in Prophetstown, IL, Whiteside County Deputies located and arrested Lukus A. Hicks, age 18 of Polo, IL, on a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear – Driving While License Suspended.  He was able to post the required bond on scene and released pending the future court date.
 
12-06-14 at 2:12 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Prophetstown, IL, area for a registration violation.  Upon further investigation, the driver, Emily A. Franks, age 22 of Prophetstown, was issued a citation for Expired Registration, and Colt A. Bender, age 20 of Prophetstown, was arrested for Possession of Cannabis under 2.5 Grams.  Bender was released on scene with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.
 
12-06-14 at 2:05 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Village of Prophetstown, IL, on Grove Street near the intersection of Esta Drive.  During the investigation of the stop Ernest M. Bryan, age 34 of Prophetstown, was arrested for Illegal Operation of an ATV on the Roadway and Driving While License Suspended.  Bryan was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear.
 
12-06-14 at 1:50  p.m.  Marcus W. Terbush, age 28 of Tampico, IL, was arrested in Prophetstown, IL, for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, Failure to Secure Child – Under 8 Years of Age, and No Seat Belt.  He was released on bond without incident and issued a written warning for registration violations.
 
12-06-14 at 10:25 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in rural Sterling, IL, for defective exhaust.  Upon further investigation a 17-year-old female from Sterling was issued a citation for Suspended Registration for Mandatory Insurance Violation.  The Juvenile was released to an adult on scene, with a Notice to Appear and a later court appearance.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
 
12-06-14 at 9:11 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Sterling, IL, area.  Upon further investigation, Michael W. Craft, age 45 of Prophetstown, IL, was arrested for Driving While License Suspended, as well as receiving a citation for Expired Registration Sticker.  Craft was released on scene with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  Slim-N-Hank’’s Towing assisted on scene.
 
12-02-14 at 1:33 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-88 near the 22 Mile Post for Speeding.  During the investigation of the stop, Maurice D. Barfield, age 28 of Chicago, IL, was arrested for Speeding and Driving While License Suspended.  Barfield was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  The vehicle was removed from the roadway by Hunter’s Towing.  
 
12-01-14 at 7:24 p.m.  Following the investigation by Deputies for numerous forgery offenses, Kelly L. Williamson, age 40 of Morrison,IL, was arrested at her home and remanded to the Whiteside County Jail on the Forgery charges, with more offenses pending.  Additionally, Williamson was arrested on an outstanding Mittimus Warrant through Whiteside County.     
 
12-01-14 at 1:40 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop, due to a signal violation, in the city of Rock Falls, IL, on 1st Avenue near the intersection 10th Street.  During the investigation of the stop, Misty L. Celvenger, age 43 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Failure to Signal When Required, No Valid Driver’s License, two counts Possession of Controlled Substance, two counts Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, and two counts Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Clevenger was transported to, and held at, the Whiteside County Jail.  Assisting on scene was Rock Falls Police Department and Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.
 
12-01-14 at 6:16  a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a driving complaint on Interstate 88.  Upon further investigation Andrew V. Dacon, age 22 of Rock Island, IL, was arrested for two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as speeding 96 MPH in 70 MPH Zone and Littering.  Dacon was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released with a Notice to Appear and a future court appearance.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
