On Monday, August 12, 2013, the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Department released the name of a female subject found deceased in a field in rural Fulton, IL, on Wednesday, August 7. The woman, identified as Janice E. Judd, 53 years old of Fulton, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Judd was located in a field near her residence, following a search conducted by Whiteside County Sheriff Deputies, Carroll County Deputies, Illinois State Police and the ISP airplane, and Thomson Police Department.
