On Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Heritage Canyon, 515 N. 4th Street, Fulton, IL, the Early American Crafters will host a Christmas Walk from noon to 6:00 p.m. Luminaries and lanterns begin at dusk. Cookies and warm drinks are the gift of The Early American Crafters.
Park downtown. Free, continuous transportation to-and-from the canyon is courtesy of the City of Fulton, via a trolley.
The Heritage Canyon Christmas Walk has something for all ages. Stroll woodland paths, bridges, and brick sidewalks, to visit recreated buildings decorated for the holiday season. Weather permitting, a golf cart will take people to the bottom of the Canyon.
Chat with “folks of Christmas past,” as they go about their merry holiday activities. Take photographs.
Visit the General Store and peruse the merchandise. Upstairs is the Dressmaker’s Shop, Bank, Doctor’s Office, and Clay Pipe Shop. Blacksmiths will be at the forge, executing their craft.
In the Schoolhouse practice carols before a fresh tree with handmade ornaments, beeswax candles, and paper snowflakes.
Inside the quaint Church, sit for a spell and listen to live music. The Log Cabin on the hill will be open until dusk, with cooking and decorating.
