The final two bicycles were awarded on Saturday, August 17, 2013, at the 143rd Annual Whiteside County Fair. At 2:00 p.m. nine-year-old Kalli Fisher of Morrison, IL, heard her name announced over the loudspeaker. She did not require the allowed three minutes to enter the Secretary Office. Fisher and her mother Aubrey were just outside. This lucky Southside School fourth grader had entered only once this week, a few minutes before her name was drawn! KJ’s Bar & Grill, 115 W. Main Street, Morrison, paid for the bike.
Ian Frederick, 14 of Fulton, IL, was also swift to enter the office and claim his prize. He is an eighth grader. His bicycle was donated by Dravis Landscaping, Inc. of Sterling, IL.
