Dawson James Sterenberg, 10, of Morrison, IL, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2020, at his home.
Dawson was born February 1, 2010, in Davenport, IA, to David and Melissa (Workman) Sterenberg. He attended the Bi-County Program in the Morrison School District. Dawson loved Mickey Mouse, Muppet Babies, and playing ball. He cherished his iPad and his blanket.
Survivors include his parents, David and Melissa Sterenberg; sisters, Meghan and Madeline Sterenberg; maternal grandmother, Vicky Workman of Morrison; aunts and uncles, Angie (Darrel) VanderVinne of Morrison; Barb (Toby) King of Morrison; Amy (Chris) Bateman of Elburn, IL; Jonathan (Samantha) Sterenberg of Fulton, IL; many cousins; his best friends, Steve and Dar Hook.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marion and Sharon Sterenberg; maternal grandfather, James Workman; brother, Jacob James Sterenberg.
His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 29, 2020, at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, with Rev. Jeff McIlrath officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 28, 2020, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
Memorials have been established to Dravet Syndrome Foundation and Bi-County Cooperative Foundation.
