David William Mathews, 57, of DePue, IL, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at his home.
David was born July 20, 1955, in Whiteside County to Forest and Stella (Vukson) Mathews. David was employed by First Student of Rock Falls as a school bus driver. He had served in the Army, and he was a member of the Rock Falls Veterans of Foreign Wars post.
David is survived by his son, Tyler Nelson (fiancée, Kasey Yonk) of Rock Falls, IL; two grandchildren, T.J. and Ian Nelson; three brothers, Ken Mathews of Henderson, NV, Don Mathews of Milledgeville, IL, and Joe Mathews of Morrison, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside service will be at a later date in Morrison, IL.
Barto Funeral Home in Spring Valley, IL, is handling arrangements.
