David R. Seaton, age 75, of Prophetstown, IL, died Sunday, February 9, 2025, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
David was born March 10, 1949, in Aledo, IL, the son of Vernon Richard and Alice (Stead) Seaton. He married Joan Brooks on March 10, 1972, in New Windsor, IL. David was employed at Kinglore Farms and later at Peabudy’s as an Ag Mechanic. He was a member of the Prophetstown Police ESDA for 11 years and enjoyed mechanical work, yard work, and remote-control cars.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Seaton of Prophetstown; sons, Dustin (Alicia) Seaton of Sandwich, IL, and David L. Seaton of Prophetstown; two grandchildren, Serenity and Grayson Seaton; brother-in-law, Danny Tusing of Woodhull, IL; special friend, Darren Vos of Morrison, IL; numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Carol and Barb.
Cremation rites will be accorded. There are no services.
