David J. Green, 45, of Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison.
David was born in Clinton, IA, on April 1, 1973, the son of Daryl and Barbara (Witt) Hook and David L. Green. He was a 1991 graduate of Morrison High School. In 2016 he received a Bachelor of Arts in Supply Chain Management from Ashford University-Forbes School of Business. David married Rebecca A. Norman on December 19, 1998, in Fulton, IL. He was first employed by Custom Pak in Clinton; he worked most recently for John Deere Seeding and Harvester Divisions in Moline, IL. He was a member of Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison. David enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching classic TV shows with his children. He coached youth softball and T-ball, enjoyed camping and bowling, listening and dancing to classic rock and country music. David was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears fan.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; his mother, Barbara (Daryl) Hook of Morrison, IL; a daughter and son, Faith, 14, and Tyler, 5, Green, both at home; a sister, Brenda (Lonnie) Scott of Morrison; a niece Jenna Scott; two nephews, Jacob Bobinger and Logan Scott; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, IL, officiated by Rev. Rich Davis.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2018, at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Morrison, IL.
Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A memorial has been established for his children’s future education.
