Whiteside County Health Department reports, “Beyond the wind chill, we’re eyeing more snow and dangerous cold. Snowfall of 1-4” is generally expected in two rounds between Wednesday night, January 17, 2024, into Friday morning, January 18. This may bring travel impacts to parts of the area, especially with the second round late Thursday night to Friday morning.
“Winds look to gust to 35 mph, leading to blowing and drifting snow.
“More dangerous cold follows for the end of the week into the weekend.”
