Dale F. Turney, 77, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday February 1, 2020, at Resthave Care & Rehabilitation in Morrison.
Dale was born October 20, 1942, in Clinton, IA, to Fred and Johanna (Brands) Turney. He was educated in the Fulton, IL, grade schools and was a 1961 graduate of Fulton High School. On April 21, 1967, he married Judith K. Wiebenga in Sterling, IL. Dale was employed at Northwestern Steel and Wire in Sterling. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church, where he served as a Deacon. Dale enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and especially doing yard work. His greatest joy in life was spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; daughter, Michele (Barry) Brown of Morrison; two grandchildren, Tyler (Audrey) Brown and Stephanie Brown; four great-grandchildren, Emmalyn, Brooklyn, Ethan, and Ryan Brown; sisters, Marcia (Charlie) Carter of Fulton and Sharon (Chuck) Wade of Arvada, CO; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Steven Lee Turney, in infancy.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 7, 2020, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Rev. Marv Jacobs, Interim Pastor of Ebenezer Reformed Church, officiating.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, February 6, 2020, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL.
A memorial has been established by the family.
