On Saturday, April 9, 2016, the Cottonwood 4-H Club had its regular monthly meeting at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 601 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL. Three members presented talks in their chosen 4-H subject areas:

  • Carissa Brinckley on German Shepherds and dog training
  • Katie Eggemeyer on wildlife food webs
  • Grace Onken on hamster care.

Before the meeting, Jim Hardesty showed about 20 members and their parents how to build model rockets.  After the meeting, the club had lunch and shot the rockets off at Lisa and Mike James’ farm in Morrison.  Hardesty gets Ellie Arians’ model rocket ready for blast off.

The next meeting will be Saturday, May 14, at St. Peter Lutheran Church at 9:00 a.m.
