Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois delighted local girls, with announcement of the highest level reward in the 2015 Girl Scout Cookie Program. Girls would earn a trip for two to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL!
Announced at the beginning of cookie season, the first-time-ever incentive is for girls who set their goals high and sell 2500 boxes of cookies or more. Several girls are close to this reward level. Many others are on their way to earning enough to finance a summer camp session, community service project, or troop trip.
One example is Girl Scout Marissa Dambra of Streamwood, IL, shown with some of over 2500 boxes of cookies she sold. When she was very close to the Disney reward level, shared this news with a customer. The customer offered to purchase enough cookies–a value of $100–to help her reach her goal. Now, Marissa is going to Disney!
Marissa is only one of many girls looking to Girl Scout Cookie fans, to help them reach goals. Girls develop decision making, business ethics, money management, and people skills,through the Girl Scout Cookie Program.
Going to Disney
A trip to Disney is more than just a vacation for Girl Scouts. Girls have the opportunity to earn Girl Scout Badges, through hands-on activities at various attractions. They can study bugs at Disney’’s Animal Kingdom, travel the world and beyond at Epcot Center, learn about animation at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and get healthy through exercise at the Magic Kingdom Park!
