Celebrate Scout Sunday on Sunday, February 12, 2023, recognizing the anniversary of the origin of Boy Scouts of America, on February 8, 1910. Scout Sunday is a day to demonstrate “A Scout is Reverent” and to thank Morrison United Methodist Church for making their facility available for meetings and events.
Community members are encouraged to attend this annual event at MUMC, 200 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL, and recognize Morrison Boy Scouting and activities which boys and girls have enjoyed. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for the 9:00 worship service. Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA will take key roles: Greeters; Ushers; Acolytes; Flag Ceremony; Liturgist.
At 10:15, the general public is welcome to enjoy a “Souper” Bowl Sunday meal, for a donation. Included are sub sandwiches; four soups (chili, potato, vegetable, and one other); desserts.
