The City of Morrison’s Flag Football League is about to wrap up its 3rd season. This year over 50 boys and girls, from 1st through 4th grade, participated. The league has had teams from Morrison, Fulton, and Milledgeville, IL, join the fun.
A typical season is six games. Players start practicing in August, with the final games played this year on October 20.
Games are played with a running clock of two, 20-minute halves, with a five-minute half-time. The action is intense and fast-paced!
- Players learn physical and mental skills and strategy.
- They develop a sense of urgency and the focus needed to accomplish a goal.
- Additionally, children are taught concepts of football; how various plays develop; the teamwork needed for success.
Come see for yourself, and root for both teams. All the players are winners.
