Come See the Changes at Resthave

Resthave Retirement and Nursing Home, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, has undergone tremendous changes and growth!  For three years there has been both remodeling and new construction.  It is with great pride and joy that Resthave opens its doors to the public.

The Board of Directors, Executive Director Tami Tegeler, and Staff invite the public to celebrate the completion of this tremendous project on Friday, August 7, 2015, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  You may tour the Assisted Living Apartments, the private Nursing Home Rooms, dining rooms, and the chapel.  There will be appetizers, punch, coffee, and cookies served in the Assisted Living Dining area.

stainedglassThe chapel is the center of the building, both literally and as a steadfast mark of faith.  Although area churches founded Resthave over 51 years ago, there has never been a chapel for church services, meditation or Bible Study.

Now this soaring room with stained glass windows, chairs, benches, and baby grand piano connects both areas of Resthave.

It is a reminder of Resthave’s mission.  That mission includes “the commitment to serve the community’s elderly, sick, and disabled with compassionate service, and to affirm the dignity and value of each person.”

The stained glass windows, piano, sound system, and pre-recorded hymnals are gifts to Resthave’s chapel.  The pastors of our area churches give of their time and talent to bring a church service every Sunday evening.  A Bible Study class will be held in the chapel, again, led by a person who gives of their time and efforts.

The administration and Board of Directors so appreciate the gifts of time, talent, effort, and  gifts to the chapel.

Come and see what we have been doing on Friday, August 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.  Celebrate our new facility and be reminded of the faith that initiated and endures at Resthave.
