Coloring! Adult Coloring! It is all the rage right now. The Friends of Odell Public Library is offering an afternoon of coloring on Monday, July 18, 2016, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Bring your colors and books and join friends in this new, but old, trend. If this is something new for you, Odell will furnish pages and colors.
Adult Coloring has a calming effect and switches off the brain from other thoughts. It helps bring focus during those moments of coloring. Adults have been heard to say, “It relaxes me.” “I feel like I am in a bubble.”
Crayola brought serious, grown-up attention to coloring by launching markers, pencils, crayons, and coloring books all for adults. Just open a book, and leave the world behind while creating with color.
Note: The most popular children’s book in most recent years, having spent two years on the New York Times bestseller list, is “The Day the Crayons Quit.”
Coloring is for all ages. Come and enjoy time with fellow colorers at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Mmorrison, IL, on July 18, from 2:00 to 4:00.
