Begun in 1985 as a question and answer/fact and trivia competition, it was established with two goals in mind, to provide

  • a fun, informative, and entertaining learning experience for area students
  • exposure for the superior scholastic abilities of area high school students.

Each year, CCC awards trophies to teams placing first-through-fourth in the Championship bracket and to the top two teams in the Consolation bracket.  In addition, the Paul B. Sharar Foundation awards a $700 scholarship to the winning high school and a $500 scholarship to the runner-up, to be used by graduates attending Clinton Community College.

At just $155 per credit hour, CCC tuition is hundreds of dollars less than State universities and thousands less than most private colleges and technical institutes.  Many scholarship, grant, and loan options are available to finance your education.  To further offset costs, Clinton, Muscatine, and Scott Community Colleges are right in your backyard.  By attending college near your home, you can save hundreds of dollars in room and board fees charged by out-of-town institutions.  We also offer classes in Maquoketa.
