Clifford E. Huizenga, 95, of Morrison, IL, passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at his home.
Clifford was born November 17, 1925, in Newton Township, IL, to Jacob and Alice (Housenga) Huizenga. He attended Union Grove grade school in rural Whiteside County. He served in the U. S. Army Infantry during WWII. On February 24, 1946, he married Geraldine James in Albany, IL. Clifford was a life-long farmer in the Chadwick, IL, area until retiring. He also worked at John Deere in Moline, IL. Clifford kept busy by operating Cliff’s Crawlers for many years. He enjoyed hunting and playing softball.
Survivors include his wife Geraldine of Morrison; daughter, Judy Huizenga-Oudekerk of Lyndon, IL; sons, Dan (Patty) Huizenga of Sparta, WI, Sam Huizenga, Denny (Janet) Huizenga of Morrison; Dale (Missy) Huizenga of Green Bay, WI, Renny (Larraine) Huizenga of Toronto, IA, and Roddy (Lori) Huizenga of Fenton, IL; 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth (Esther) Huizenga of Morrison and Arnold (Marilyn) Huizenga of Fulton, IL.
Clifford was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve Huizenga; two sisters, Marion Reynolds and Ella Mae Wherry; four brothers, John, Donald, Harold and Rolland Huizenga.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday June 2, 2021, at Garden Plain Cemetery in Garden Plain, IL. Pastor Collette Powell, Chaplain of Beacon of Hope Hospice, is officiating.
The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A memorial to Beacon of Hope Hospice has been established.
