Cleaves C. Prescott, 100, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, died Friday, February 24, 2017 at Resthave Home.
Cleaves was born February 16, 1917, in Rindge, NH, to Benjamin and Charlotte M. (Carey) Prescott. He was a graduate of the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII. On July 19, 1960, he married Betty M. Nicklaus in Morrison. Cleaves retired from General Electric Co. in Morrison in 1980. He was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; three daughters, Christine Prescott of Schenectady, NY, Ann Prescott of New York City, NY, and April Prescott of Eugene, OR; two sons, Jim Prescott of Reno, NV, and Don (Sandy) Prescott of Morrison; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Bill Prescott, and one sister, Barb Marden.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There will be no visitation.
There will be no funeral service.
