Clarence E. “Bud” Stage, 75 of Rock Falls, IL, died Friday, January 24, 2020, at his home.
He was born on June 20, 1944, in Morrison, IL, the son of Clarence Roy and Edna Mae (Williams) Stage. He married Mary Jean Thompson on August 21, 1961, in Morrison. She died June 1, 2008. Bud had worked in construction for many years with Local 727.
Survivors include his daughter Carri (Allen) Kaldenberg of Sheboygan, WI; son, Try Stage (Melissa Tuft) of Rock Falls; ten grandchildren, Terry E. (Krista) Bender, Amber Bender, Billy Stage, Dustin Stage, Taren Stage, Shania Pashon, Troy Plemins, Amanda Stage, Tricia Stage, and Jacob Tuft; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Barb (Bud) Tomman of Morrison, Betty (Wayne) Greer of Rock Falls, Lucy (Dick) Sheppard of Rock Falls, Cindy (JR) Fortune of Sterling, IL, Teresa Brown of Sterling and Mary (Bob) Brientenbach of Vancouver, WA; brothers, Randy (Trudy) Gallentine, Leo (Sharon) Stage of Rock Falls, and Robert (Deb) Kosier of Vancouver, WA; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother Valera Stage; son, William Lee Stage; sisters, Mildred (Claude) Overton, Dorothy (Don) Wooster, Judy Lindaas, Ellen Stage, Gloria (Mike) Conrad, Valora Fortune, and Mary (Mike) Naftzger; brothers, Cal Stage, Sr., Bobby Stage, Joe Gallentine, and Jerry Gallentine.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2020, from 9:00 to 11 a.m., at McDonald Funeral Home, 1002 12th Avenue, in Rock Fal, IL.
The funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Dalmus Meeks officiating.
Burial will conclude at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls, IL.
