Morrison, IL, City Administrator Brian Melton submitted this Public Service Announcement on Monday, November 13, 2013.
The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA) requires every water supplier to develop and implement a comprehensive, cross connection, control program, for the elimination of existing cross connections and for prevention/protection from all future cross connections. Regulations are in place to protect our drinking water system.
A requirement of the program is to conduct a survey of all water customers every three years. Morrison water customers will receive a survey post card in the mail soon, if not already.
Please simply follow the directions on the post card for completion of the survey. There is no cost, and it takes only a few moments to complete. Surveys should be completed within 30 days of receipt of the post card.
Morrison is utilizing the services of Aqua Backflow in Elgin, IL, to assist with program operations, including the survey. They specialize in Cross Connection Control Crogram management. Please note: If you have or require backflow protection, you also may be notified for compliance (i.e., testing, repairs, or installations) by Aqua Backflow. You also can contact Aqua Backflow at 847-742-2296 or info@AquaBackflow.com with any questions.
Morrison’s Cross Connection Control Program is designed to safeguard public health. We ask for your cooperation with our program, its enforcement, and any request for information that comes from Aqua Backflow or staff of the City of Morrison.
Thank you!
