City to Hold Cannabis Information Meeting October 15

At 7:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, the City of Morrison will host a question-and-answer session for the community, regarding the recent law allowing legalization of cannabis.  It will be at the City of Morrison Community Room, at Odell Public Library, 307 S. Madison Street, Morrison, IL.  City Attorney Tim Zollinger and Police Chief Brian Melton will present information.  There are many details the City must address before any distribution of cannabis can occur within the City.  This is an opportunity for citizens to learn about the new law, ask questions, or express concerns.  The regularly scheduled Council meeting will follow the discussion regarding cannabis.  The meeting will be held on Tuesday instead of Monday, because Monday is a holiday.
