The agreement was reached Friday, February 20.
Volunteers will work in the second grade classrooms of Dana Bennett and Chelsea Stuart. This five-week, one-hour-a-day program is administered by Monica Telschow, Senior Education Manager, Junior Achievement of the Heartland, 800 12th Avenue, Moline, IL.
“JA programs focus on work-readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship concepts. The volunteer experience is easy and rewarding! JA provides training, a program kit that includes easy-to-follow lesson plans, and all the classroom materials needed to lead the hands-on learning activities. Volunteers present five lessons, each lasting 45 minutes. Volunteers typically present one lesson a week but work directly with the teacher to arrange dates and times for each.”
