Vacation Bible School has been cancelled.

St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, 601 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, has suspended on-site worship services until further notice.  “We are posting video worship services online (Youtube and Facebook) and emailing bulletins to follow along.  Our members are encouraged to contact the church Office, at 815-772-3386, to get on the mailing list, to receive the most recent updates and online services.”

As of Sunday, May 2, 2020, First Presbyterian Church, Morrison, IL, continues to offer services live via their Facebook group every Sunday at 10:15 a.m.  Reverend Dr. Michael Selburg reported, “Services are left on the page, so folks can view at their leisure.”  Click here to watch:  https://www.facebook.com/groups/firstpresmorrison.  Free Community Meals are canceled until further notice.

Outdoor concerts at Spring Valley Reformed Church have been cancelled for Sunday, May 31, and Sunday, June 7, 2020.

Beginning Sunday, March 22, 2020, at 9:00 a.m., Emmanuel Reformed Church will begin live streaming the Sunday service from the pulpit via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/emmanuelreformedchurchmorrison/).  Praise team music will be live and supported with on-screen verses.  Services and Walking Ministry are cancelled; the Spring Cantata is postponed.  Maundy Thursday and Easter Sunday services will be live-streamed on Facebook.  All community members may view these online services.

Morrison Christian Reformed Church has cancelled all services.

On Monday, March 16, Morrison United Methodist Church cancelled all church services, Sunday School, and meetings until further notice.  Doors are locked, but the office is open for calls and emails only.

On Tuesday, March 17, First Presbyterian Church‘s Session voted to not have worship services until at least April 19.  The suspension will be reevaluated then.

Albany United Methodist Church has cancelled worship services for March 22 and March 29. The situation will be reassessed at that time and announcements made.

St. Mary Parish has suspended all daily and weekend Masses, at least until April 4, according to the Bishop of Rockford.  Women’s Retreat “Find Something More in God, Catholicism, and Community,” set for April 4, has been cancelled but will be rescheduled.  The Father Daughter Dance for Saturday, March 21, is cancelled.

The Sisters of St. Francis, Clinton, IA, will implement recommendations from the Iowa Department of Public Health and Centers for Disease Control, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  General public access to The Canticle, including the Chapel, is restricted.  Visits from family members, friends, and non-essential health care personnel are no longer permitted.  Daily and weekend Masses, as well as Lenten Vespers, will be held for in-house residents only.  Visit www.clintonfranciscans.com or our Facebook page for the most current information.  Call the Sisters of St. Francis Administrative Office at 563-242-7611 with questions.
