Morrison United Methodist Church will celebrate Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at two special services, both entitled “Hopeful Joy.” Worship will be held at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. Family, friends, and community are welcome to attend either special time.
The 4:00 worship will center on families and the younger children. The Vocal Choir will sing three anthems during the 7:00 service: “Christmas Fanfare,” “Some Children See Him,” and “What Shall We Give to the Child.”
During evening service Holy Communion will be offered. While lighting the Advent wreath as the Christ Candle is lit (symbolizing the birth of Christ), bells will ring including the organ chimes. All types of bells brought in by the congregants will also ring to greet the Child. “Silent Night” and the tradition of candle lighting will end each service.
