Although we will not be gathered in the sanctuary for the annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, please join with us through YouTube. We will hear the beautiful words of Lessons and Carols, bringing hope and love into the world.
The YouTube Message and music can be found by typing into the search box Morrison United Methodist Church Videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9yjS8q_BZgzzzOUJ09L_Mw/videos?view=0. A purple circle will identify that you are in the correct place. Note the date, December 24, 2020.
This Service will be ready to view after 2:00 p.m., on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Eve at the Methodist Church is always full of music. This year enjoy an organ prelude complete with chimes; “Long, Long Ago,” a duet sung by Jon Paisley and John Frame; Jon Paisley’s “O, Holy Night;” to end the service, “Silent Night” played by cellist Sam Sykes.
The age-old story of Christ’s birth will be told through Lessons and Carols. Readers will be Anne Frame and John Frame and Karen Huber. Pastor Cal Haines will give his Christmas Message.
And for the children, Jenny Patton and her children, Jovie and Halen, will deliver the Children’s Message, “A Gift of Love from the Heart.” They will tell the Christmas Story in their own words and what it means. They will discuss the Gift of Love, as demonstrated in a short video of “The Little Drummer Boy.” The narration will be sung by 5-year-old Isaiah Fisher.
Through prayer, song, scripture, and music, may your heart be uplifted as we celebrate Christmas and its continual message of hope, love, and peace.
Join us on this special night. We welcome you, one and all.
