Chloe Roeder, Morrison, IL, has qualified for the 2015 State Meet for “Junior Olympic Level 3 Compulsory Team” competitors. It will be held in Sioux City, IA, on Friday, December 11, through Sunday, December 13.
She is a 6th grader at Morrison Junior High. “To make it to State,” said her father Scot, “she had to score an all-around score of 33.00 or better, at at least two meets this year….” She competes in four events:
- Balance Beam
- Vault
- Uneven Bar
- Floor Routine.
“Add the four scores from those events for the all-around score. She scored a 34.2 at the 2015 ‘Twist’n to the Top’ in Hiawatha, IA, on Saturday, October 10, and a 33.975 at the ‘Spooktacular’ in Waterloo, IA, on Saturday, October 2,” he explained.
This is her second year of being on the competitive team. Roeder currently trains seven hours a week.
She competes out of Fitnastics gym in Clinton, IA, owned by Nicole and Joe Kupfer. They offer instruction in gymnastics, tumbling, and cheerleading.
