Clinton Community College will host the Geoffrey Mikol Art Exhibit at the CCC Library Art Gallery. The exhibit lasts through August 2018.
The community is invited to attend the Artists Reception on Tuesday, May 29, from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m., in the Art Gallery located at 1000 Lincoln Boulevard, Clinton, IA.
Geoffrey Mikol is a professional artist who owns River Bend Gallery with his family, in historic Galena, IL. As a person born with Down Syndrome, he has found a special connection with photography as a means of expressing himself.
His artwork is stunning, catching elusive light that the eye sees, but the cameras often miss. He has a talent for capturing moments in nature that still the soul and quiet your senses. Only 24-years-old, he has studied and practiced his photography for nearly a decade–with spectacular results.
The community is welcome to visit the CCC Art Gallery during Library hours at 1000 Lincoln Boulevard, Clinton.
