As a highlight of the Thomson, IL, Sesquicentennial, Lewis Frosch has written and will direct the pageant play “Thomson’s Town.” The original dramatic work will be presented on Friday, July 24, 2015.
Frosch will hold casting calls for interested parties and thespians at the York Public Library Upper Room, 1005 W. Main Street, Thomson, on the following dates. Those who wish to volunteer their help with the production and/or be in the cast may attend either date: Thursday, May 21, or Tuesday, May 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
No theatrical training is required. No previous resume is necessary. A sense of humor, immense patience, and the spirit of community is desired.
The following are needed for the “Thomson’s Town” production:
- Technical Director for lights
- Scenery and Prop Manager
- 12 men for onstage parts–including two murderers!
- four 19th century Churchwomen who care deeply about Temperance
- three boys ages eight to 15 to pose as orphans
- singers–no experience required.
