Carol H. Langman, of Doylestown, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2014, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 86. She was the beloved wife of the late I. Michael Langman.
Born in Roscoe, IL, on October 7, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Loyal Schuler and Hallie Curry Hammer. Carol grew up on her family’s farm in Morrison, IL. Her parents instilled in her the importance of education and hard work, in addition to a keen sense of humor. Carol graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech in 1949. Carol was married to the late Frank C. Nicholas in 1950 and, following the birth of their youngest son in 1959, the family moved to Line Lexington, PA. Carol was married to the late I. Michael Langman for 23 years. She worked as a residential and commercial realtor for more than 20 years. She was an Accredited Professional Residential Appraiser and specialized in commercial and farm real estate. Carol moved to Doylestown in 2008 to be closer to her children and grandchildren, her greatest joy. She was a dedicated letter writer who never failed to remember a birthday, anniversary, or important holiday.
She is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey H. Nicholas of Solebury, PA, Scott H. and Caryn Nicholas of Perkasie, PA, and Peter K. and Emily Nicholas of Doylestown, and her sister D. Beth Paul of Cypress, CA. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Hallie, Grace, Tommy, Connor, Katie, Frans, Carl, and Paul.
Her family received relatives and friends on Saturday, October 25, 2014, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. in the Celtic Cross Room at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 E. Court Street, Doylestown, PA, before going upstairs into the Sanctuary for her Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m.
Her interment was in George Washington Memorial Park, 80 Stenton Avenue, Plymouth Meeting, PA, following the church service.
