Carol A. VenHuizen, 75, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Saturday, January 11, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton.
Born May 31, 1938, in Fulton, she was a daughter of Ebert and Anna (Pyse) Bonneur. On June 1, 1956, she was united in marriage to Allen VenHuizen in Fulton.
Carol was a bookkeeper at First Trust and Savings Bank in Albany, IL, for over 20 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton and enjoyed crossstitching, traveling to Gulf Shores, AL, and, most of all, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Allen, of Clinton; her children, Linda (Allon) Barsema of Fulton, Larry (Connie) VenHuizen of Fulton, Loren (Tammy) VenHuizen of Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin (Jody) VenHuizen of Indianola, IA, and Mark VenHuizen of Fort Lauderdale, FL; her brothers, Eugene (Mary Kay) Bonneur of Morrison, IL, Harold (Beverly) Bonneur of Fulton and Leon (Kay) Bonneur of Morris, IL; her grandchildren, Mike, Ryan, Matt, Kathy, Heather, Keith, Josh, Laura, Zach, Adam, Rachel and Andrew; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, IL.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 16, 2014, in First Baptist Church, Clinton, IA, with Pastor Ron Lott, officiating.
Burial will be at Fulton Township Cemetery.
