Carlene Beveroth, 92, of Resthave Home, Morrison, IL, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, at Resthave.
Carlene was born September 7, 1924, in Morrison, to Carl A. and Alma K. (Hoss) Schroeder. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and was a graduate of Morrison High School. Carlene married Fred C. Beveroth on May 2, 1945, in Morrison. He died March 24, 2008. Carlene was first employed by the National Tea Grocery Store in Morrison and later by the Morrison Hospital as a dietary aid. She was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Morrison. Carlene and Fred enjoyed dancing, especially ballroom dancing, and were members of a Square Dance Club. She enjoyed spending her winters in Texas and playing cards, and she was an avid bowler.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Jeniker of Seattle, WA, and Susan Housenga of Clinton, IA; one son, Tom (Jan) Beveroth of Morrison, IL; six grandchildren, Emma Edwards, Brian Edwards, Brenda (Pat) Stock, Andrea (Jay) Beveroth-Wesa, Damien Beveroth, and Katie (Greg) Rider; three great-grandchildren, Abby Stock, and Emmeline and Coraline Rider.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; five sisters, Rosena in infancy, Elsie Mae Rosenow, Dorothy Brinkman, Vivian Houseman, and Ruth V. Stralow-Bristle.
FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 a.m., Monday, July 3, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Morrison, IL

VISITATION: 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home
