When the sun is shining and temperatures are in the 60s, the great “out of doors” is a place that would sound inviting to most. Residents of Resthave Care & Rehabilitation, 408 Maple Avenue, Morrison, IL, were invited to enjoy the afternoon outside. Local friends and families paraded in vintage and modern cars, sporting signs of “love and adoration” to family members viewing from the curb.
At 2:00 p.m., on Friday, May 14, 2021, the parade began with sirens and horns of the Morrison Fire Department. That introduction showed residents that the community cares about them and is always available to protect and enlighten their stay at Resthave.
The vehicles following the loud entrance carried signs of greetings, affection, and humor. They were met with smiles, waves, and applause from the awaiting residents.
It was truly a welcome event, after months of confinement, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
