During the Annual Pearl City Holiday Tournament, on Saturday, December 9, 2023, Morrison Girls Basketball action took a pause in the play. Recognition was given to Filly Camryn Veltrop, as she reached a significant career goal, by shooting her 1000th point. She is a Junior.
On Saturday, December 10, 2022, sister Shelby Veltrop experienced the same achievement, during the Holiday Tournament. She was a Senior at the time.
Coach Kerry Grim had notified her player with the sign during the game. Veltrop scored 21 points that night, leading her team to a 52-to-44 victory over Ashton-Franklin Center.
