Attached is the Obit for Gene Brearton. As you can see he died back in August.
Also attached is the picture of the four Brearton’s in their Navy Service Dress Blue

There was a church service for Gene Brearton on Saturday the 23rd of May at the
Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton. There was a burial of an urn at the
Brearton Family Plot at Grove Hill Cemetery on Monday the 25th of May. The
following were in attendance: Gene’s widow Nancy Brearton, all Gene’s brothers
(Jack, Gerald, Mike & Tommy), Gene’s daughter Gina (John) Benko from Tennessee,
Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews from various states (Washington, Texas, Ohio), All
the Officers of Morrison Fire Department, and several friends of the family.
Attached is also a list of other Brearton’s with ties to Morrison and their military
service.
As mentioned during our walk up to the plot, Gene was not in the Service. His
Memorial Service just happened to coincide with Memorial Day Weekend.
