For ages, two Boyer’s Springs have trickled under Crosby Road. A portion of the Morrison-Rockwood Recreational Trail now crosses the outcropping of fresh water. Because the water location is below road grade, it was necessary to install a bridge for bikers and pedestrians.
This safe, attractive Boyer’s Springs Bridge was the perfect solution.
It was settled into place Thursday, November 21, 2013, by Custom Manufacturing, Inc. of Clinton, WI. The design was chosen by a committee of Noah Carmichael, City of Morrison Engineer; Ann Slavin, Friends of the Parks representative; Gary Tresenriter, City of Morrison Director of Public Services.
Mayor Everett Pannier estimated the trail is about 1.25 miles from the covered bridge to Damen Road. Signage is yet to come, but essentially the route is at your service to enjoy.
