Boy Scouts Thank Donors for Camp Funding

Posted by

BScoutLogoThis spring, Morrison Boy Scout Troop 96 asked for help earning money to go to Summer Camp 2016.  The community responded.  Boys completed yard jobs and tasks that were asked of them.  They requested only a donation for the work that was done, if possible.

The troop wants to give a big thanks to these generous community members:

  • Arnie Damhoff
  • Stephen Gatz
  • Susan Schuler
  • Doug Vandermyde
  • Richard Vandermyde
  • Stephanie Vavra
  • Vicki Wiebenga.

Leaders are Eric Anderson, Scout Master, and Assistant Scout Master Jim Bramm.  Shane Adams, Bramm, and August Ufkin attended camp with the boys.  Mike Unger assisted leaders in spring clean up jobs.

During the camp session, Sunday, June 26, through Thursday, July 2, 2016, the boys signed up to earn 52 Merit Badges.  They completed 31.  Shown left-to-right are Boy Scouts and adults who attended Camp Lowden.  In front are Rylen Unger, Nate Gallagher, Zack Usterbowski, Adam Nuemann.  In the middle are Michael Blasdell, Brodie Larson, Isaiah Blasdell, Aaron Freeman.  In back are Jim Bramm, Jason Endress, Austin Adams, Rylan Haggerman, Anthony Fulton, Shane Adams, Jon Fulton, John Taylor, and Eric Anderson.  Leader August Ufkin was unavailable for the photo.
