Bluegrass Concert June 9

Apple Riders bandOn Sunday, June 9, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., Spring Valley Church welcomes The Wise Apple Riders from the Quad Cities area, shown at Heritage Canyon in Fulton, IL.  The Wise Apple Riders enjoy playing old time gospel music with guitar, mandolin, banjo, and harmonica.  They keep your foot tapping with songs like “Church in the Wildwood” and “I’ll Fly Away.”  

Members are Bob Whitten, Chris Mussmann, Mark Mussmann, and Tim Mussmann.  They started three years ago playing around campfires, now they sing and play at bluegrass and folk venues and town festivals.

The group will perform with four other bands at Fulton’s 1st Annual Bluegrass Festival on Saturday, June 15.  Hourly performances begin at 1:00 p.m. outside the General Store in Heritage Canyon, 515 N. 4th Street, Fulton, IL.  

As a prelude please join us on June 9, at Spring Valley Church, 10960 Spring Valley Road, Fulton, IL.  You can enjoy their concert from your vehicle, or you can bring lawn chairs.  The concert will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather.
