Blood Drive at Northside Elementary

DonorRecipientNorthside Elementary School will host a blood drive from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Monday, January 22, 2018, at 520 N. Genesse Street, Morrison, IL. The blood drive will be held in the Cafeteria. This drive is part of the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center (MVRBC) Life$avings program, and helps Northside earn a monetary grant if they achieve or exceed goal. The blood drive is open to the public.

To donate, please contact Denise Batterton at 815-772-2153, extension 5214, or visit www.bloodcenterimpact.org and use code 1515 to locate the drive.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years of age (16 with parental permission form, available through www.bloodcenter.org), and weigh more than 110 pounds. A photo I.D. is required to donate. For questions about eligibility, please call the Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center at 800-747-5401. Donors who last gave blood on or before November 27, 2017, are eligible to give at this drive.

Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes-to-one-hour. Individuals with diabetes or controlled high blood pressure may be accepted as eligible donors.

Mississippi Valley Regional Blood Center is the exclusive provider of blood products to patients at Morrison Community Hospital, as well as hospitals in Clinton, IA, Geneseo, IL, and the Quad Cities.
